During recess, Gianna saw the little girl with a long brown braid from the swimming pool. She had a big scratch on her face. "What happened to your face?" Gianna asked with concern.

"I was hit by the swing. And now everyone is asking me the same question. 'What happened to your face? What happened to your face?' Now I know how you feel when people ask about your birthmark."

"And I understand that some questions are just natural to ask," said Gianna. The two girls had learned something about each other.

For the rest of recess, they skipped around the playground and became good friends.
