With special love and thanks...

...to our parents Betty and Elmer Roberson and Salvatore and Marie Guerra; and to our brothers and sisters that make us realize how lucky we are to be a family;

...to Dr. Linda Rabinowitz, Dr. Elisabeth Shakin, Dr. Ruth Zagar and Dr. Cheryl Hausman, and to parent Jan Snyder, who organized our hemangioma parent support group. Parents and doctors worked to understand why hemangiomas are treated so nonchalantly at birth and yet are so devastating physically and emotionally to children and families. These dedicated parents and professionals and our beautiful children inspired the book;

...to loyal, supportive, and talented friends Molly Troxell, Gene deNicolas, Jane Voigt-FGM, Dick and Jan Fleming, Rev. Yves Lafontant, Pam Danko Stout;

...to Betsy Wilson, Let's Face It Executive Director;

... to Melissa Glick, broadcast journalist who wrote, produced, and directed our hemangioma infomercial;

...to Pam Onyx and Elizabeth Bednar, About Face International;

...and most of all, to our daughter Gianna for choosing us as her parents and teaching that beauty comes from within;

...and finally, to Dr. David Low, of Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, who surgically removed Gianna's birthmark December 15, 1997.
